SDPA Fall 2018 | What’s New in Biologics
On Friday November 2, the second full day of SDPA’s 16th Annual Fall Dermatology Conference Dr. Misha Rosenbach spoke about What’s New in Biologics.
Many of the topics he discussed included off label use since indications are still limited. His specialty is granulomatous and neutrophilic diseases and he has used biologic therapy for such conditions as sarcoidosis, granuloma annulare, hidradenitis suppurativa, and pyoderma gangrenosum. He reminded attendees to consider that a percentage of patients being treated with biologic therapy for one indication such as inflammatory bowel disease, will actually develop another disease such as psoriasis. He suggested having a low threshold to biopsy a new or different appearing cutaneous eruption.
He also hosted a Meet the Expert Q&A after his presentation in The Mingle Zone for attendees where Lauren, a PA with 10 years of experience called him “one of the best speakers”.
