Obesity is linked to multiple cutaneous effects, and interventions can sometimes result in improvement of cutaneous disease. Even in the setting of a fast-paced dermatology clinic, incorporating specific strategies can help our patients with obesity and skin disease.
After listening to this podcast, participants will:
- Describe the cutaneous effects of obesity, including the mechanical and inflammatory effects. Recognize the relationship between chronic inflammatory skin diseases and systemic comorbidities.
- Apply diabetes detection strategies into clinic workflow.
