The Many Faces of Lupus
Faculty: Jean Bolognia, MD
Renowned author and professor Jean Bolognia, MD, discusses the clinical presentations of the three major subtypes of mucocutaneous lupus erythematosus (LE) including acute, subacute, and chronic. Variants of cutaneous LE including bullous SLE, Rowell syndrome, LE tumidus, chilblain LE, and lupus panniculitis are also reviewed. Listeners will learn to:
- Recognize the spectrum of clinical findings in acute, subacute, and chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus (LE).
- Appreciate the range of histopathologic findings in cutaneous LE.
- Recognize the less specific cutaneous findings that raise the possibility of LE.
