The differential diagnosis of Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) is addressed in this lecture led by Jean Bolognia, MD. Distinction of the former from morbilliform drug eruption, erythema multiforme major, and DRESS (drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms) is reviewed as is the distinction of TEN from generalized fixed drug eruption and toxic erythema of chemotherapy.
